More than 10 hours sleep, yay!! Had a nice breakfast and a welcome meeting at our hostel. The staff told us where to go, what do do and how not to get scamed. We live in an area called bang rak, a part of the "real" Bangkok. On our way to see some temples we walked and walked and walked as usual. Through china town, near the river and finally to the temples! The first place we visited was the grand palace, after 2 people tried to scam us by saying the place was closed and wanted to show us other places,we found the entrance. And what a palace it was, gold and shimmer and colour everywhere! The living place of the monarchs and government building and temple :) then we crossed the river by taxi boat which cost 3 baht each way, bargain! We crossed from Tha Tian to Wat Arun Ratchawararam. The temple of Dawn, a beautiful garden and stairs that were worse than them wall of china, but a beautiful view from the top :). The last temple we saw was Wat Po, the temple of the reclining buddah. In one of the buildings there was a giant buddah lying down, more than 20m long and 7m high, with mother of pearl inlaid in its feet. We also listened to the monks chanting before we left. After a long day of walking we decided to take a taxi back. Also another attempted scam, but we stood our ground and said no, got another taxi and haggled the price down to half his first price :). When we got back to the hostel we ate, showered, facebooked, skyped and then went to bed :)

Mum Well done, always go with your gut instinct, if it feels wrong dont do it, but have fun.
Mormor Ni är duktiga i ert turistande! Och vad jag får lära mig! Nu har jag läst på om The Temple of Dawn, t ex. Fortsätt att vara rädda om er! Kram
Nour This is a fnaatstic post. Gabby Giffords is a genuine inspiration to us all. It took a tragic event to bring this remarkable woman to light. You have done Gabby a great justice in this post. Keep up the terrific work.thewpnovice
