Hello hello!
Well another month has gone by and there has not been any further 'travelling'! I am still working building up the money pot to fund the rest of the trip.
It's getting further and further into the winter here now so the beach days are getting far and few in between! It's still warm in the day by nippy in the eves, even had to by myself a coat and scarf!! Noooooo! Anyway since Ryan arrival we've been on a few mini adventures?
We went with Alf one night back to Collaroy (where Ems and myself stayed when we first got here) and went to surf rock for a very funny evening of drink based behaviour! We also hit the big city one night and met our friend Liz (Noran), we disgraced ourselves as usual and had a fab evening of games and silly behaviour!
We haven't been drinking the whole time though? we went for a walk around Manly one Sunday up to a cliff top where the views were gorgeous. Then we had a picnic at 'little manly cove'. A few weeks ago there was a massive food and drink festival in Manly. Thousands of people come to it every year and it was great. We were a tad delicate so we didn't join the 'drinking' part of the day but it was great!
It was Ryans birthday last weekend which was bank holiday weekend (for the Queens birthday not Ryans!) I hired him a car for the day and we went to the Blue Mountains for the day. It is a great place to visit, the views are supposed to be spectacular but unfortunately the weather was the worst I have seen it and it rained all day and was so cloudy we couldn't see a thing. We stopped the car at a few 'lookout points' to try and see these views but all we could see was white!! We did find an amazing waterfall that was scarily forceful because the heavy rain, we walked down the side of it to the bottom - I was at one point fearing for my life but it was worth it - amazing! As we couldn't do the cable cars or train rides that they run we left to return and found a factory outlet mall on route? yes - outlet MALL as in LOADS of discount shops, my god I was in my element and so was Ryan who splashed out and treated himself with his birthday money. When we got back Sare, Dan and Alf had prepared a surprise party for the 5 of us which was awesome and a very amusing evening.
We took advantage of the bank holiday and all went for lunch and a 'Sunday Session' at the Wharf bar. Well, it all started very civilised as usual but when spoof (drinking game) got going all the ridiculous behaviour came flowing!!
Dan's Dad is out for a week at the moment so he was out with the gang last night which was a brilliant night.
In one week and 2 days Em will be back so the 'Em and Loz in Oz' adventure will continue!
Until next time?
Lots of love
Loz
