We have both been enjoying life here in Manly, working during the week and beach life at weekends. This working week was finished off with drinks at a roof top bar overlooking Sydney harbor. Em has joined our housemates for Sunday morning beach sprint training with the local surf life saving club. There has not been much surf the last 2 weeks, flat as a pancake so I have been swimming instead. Last week was comedy night which wasn’t that great but a couple of funny moments and the week before we got second place in pub trivia.

We have both been reading a great book called Shadow Divers about Atlantic wreck divers that discover a German U-boat near NYC, this inspired us to visit the retired Royal Australian Navy sub Vampire yesterday. 68 crew in very cramped conditions; I was in the sub for 20 minutes and banged my head twice. Lucky the average height of crew was 5.9.
