Tonights gig was so fun! I played a couple more songs than last time including Reins. I can't believe I finally played Reins on my own. It was far from perfect but it's a start, and it's an important song for me to be able to play. The audience liked me and I was less self deprecating than last time and was asked back next Wednesday to play with the harpist Cristyn. Oh and I got Evert to bring his laptop and sang with 'Turmoil of Winter' which was very cool. They liked that too!
There was also a very lovely Scottish singer songwriter there. He was quite amusing. He gave me his phone number and we will hang out once I figure out what is going on with my challenged UK phone. Ok, so he was a bit nice but I think he is only in is early 20's. My god I am a disgrace to lesbians.
Afterwards, Evert and I went out for a late night dinner at this Lebanese restaurant. We walked and walked through Soho trying to find something open or not overpacked with hipsters. Oh one thing I have discovered: London's hairspray doesn't work. Canada's is better and it's very windy here. lol.
Traci, I have to work out the masturbation song. The Scottish singer songwriter thinks I should play it with actions and push the boundaries. How do I get myself into these situations!
K, must get up and get a capo (for the guitar), check out the charity/second hand shop for something outrageous to wear at the festival this weekend and oh, yeah. get some sleep.
