hey guys, ok we are starting in the middle of weeks 2's holiday those who i have written to know what has been happeining so far so ill just pick up where we have left off.
i am now currently in amsterdam, will tell you all about his when i come to it.
spent 3 nights in paris, day one arrival in paris we flew into paris on a ticket for 50 pounds, bloody bargin, and made our way to the closest and cheapest hostel in paris, asked the first kinda french english speaking guy we saw and asked for directions, starting walking with our backpacks, at least 15kgs each and once again got completly lost, figured our after asking 3 different people, the first guy was a french b****** and sent us in the completly wrong direction, cause the hostel was like 2k's from the initial train station. w***ers. walked around at least 5-6ks with our backpacks. found the hostel and a cheap crappy supermarket that sold mee goreng, dinner. i think where we were staying was the slum part of france, a little way out from town. exhausted from the day and fell asleep, bloody water pipe behind where we were sleeping waking us up through the night and stacey on her plastic matteress.
day 2 started at 9 on a mission to find a god dam supermarket for some milk for our cereal while stacey was woken up and kicked out ofour rooms for a bigger group of people to come and stay. our first stop was an amazing cathedral called the sacre cure, stunning huge and beautiful. walked then to the arc du triomph and then of course down the champs elyeese getting loads of photos with my name, checked out the french parliment and then straight to the eiffle tower. paid 3.20 euro to climb 668 steps, elevator on the otherside buit the line was massive and it was double the price. could only go up half way cause it costs extra to go all the way up, and more work on our thighs, we were happy with that height. comming down and both stacey and i both as stobborn as the french and did not wanna pay 5 euro for a bottle of water we decided to walk to the louve and get water on the way. bout an hour walk later we found some water near the louve and went into the glass pyramid, entrance to the museam to find that it shuts early in monday so it was closed. we figured that we went to the foyer so it counts that we have been there, long walk home. scramble eggs for dinner and found someones pasta and stole someones sauce to make a killer spaghetti, meat was the left over carrots we have been munchin on for the past 3 days, hung out with some americans, guy from NZ and one from canadians that came along with us that day. into bed bout 11.00pm to be up real early tomorrow
day 3 got up at 6.30 in the morning to pack up all our stuff to treck it 2kms with our bags to catch the buss of amsterdam. i guess we both read it wrong or thought it was the wrong date or something but bus left the next day. so we stayed at this hostel for the night, alittle more expensive but wicked little hostel with brekky and a nightclub. after walking nearly 20kms yesterday we got a day rider for the metro train. stace and i decided the infant day rider price better suited us so we grabbed them. luckily the frenc are lazy b******s and we never got caught. caught the train out to see an old underground grave called catacomes, bones stacked up everwhere so of course we got a photo with some of the sculls. bone chilling, eery and pretty dam freaky. vegimite on baguetts lunch, checked out notre dam and that was absolutly breathtaking could not beleve my eyes and my camera doesnt do it justice. there was even a quasimodo (homeless blind scary looking guy) out the front. more walking around then back to the hostel for some pre dinner drinks in our room, lucky there wasnt a kitchen in this crappy hostel, we brought potatoes and mushrooms for us to have stuff spuds, so i guess we will have to carry the vegies into amsterdam. didnt plan on it but had a pretty big night on the booze in the night club down stars, found some more chicks from perth and the bar tender was from perth too, so there were plenty of shots on the house. called it a night at 12 and stumbled into bed
