I died and went to heaven. A French heaven to be precise. On our way to the school today we stopped and had breakfast at a French patisserie. OMG it was sooooo good!!! It was just like being in France. I ordered 3 chocolate croissants for breakfast and a small baguette for lunch later. So yummy! We then stopped at a 20 baht shop (Thailand's equivalent to poundland) and brought some toys/equipment to give to the children at the school. I got them some clips, hair baubles, scrunchies, clip in hair braids with feathers on the end (they can have hair like mine!) and combs. Everyone got a few bits to give to them. Good deed of the day done! When we got to the school it turned out that the headteacher didn't want a mural painted on the wall, she wanted us to paint another side of the wall instead. I was looking forward to painting details on the wall :/ oh well I'll just have to stick to my colouring book instead haha :P so we were spilt into groups as there were only 10 of us, 2 groups of 3, 1 group of 4. I joined up with Jen and Jay - we made a pretty good team and got finished pretty quickly. As we were painting, the heavens decided to open (downside to it being monsoon season in Thailand) but luckily the walls were undercover. We did get pretty soaked on the way back to the truck though when it was time to go. On the way back to the truck we gave the headteacher our gifts to the children and she said a big thank you. As it was raining the children didn't play outside today so we didn't have a chance to see them. When we got back it was still raining so I spent the afternoon chilling on my bed watching movies which was nice. In the evening as it had stopped raining, I took a walk down to the mini supermarket (called 7/11) grabbed some food and then took a walk along the beach, stepping through the occasional wave. It was quite nice and peaceful just having that time to walk along by myself and got some nice pictures as well :) most people are heading out again tonight but I think I'll stay in again (I must be ill this is so unlike me to turn down nights out haha - probably because I don't have my makeup and high heels with me that's what it is) and pack my bag as we are leaving tomorrow to go to the next island :) E x

Bob Pollock Great blogs Eloise. But don't avoid a night out because of the absence of make-up and high heels. Personally I have found both to be a disadvantage ! Grandpa
