The city tour was really good and did infant change my opinion of hue, although I still probally would miss this place out next time. We set off on a boat down the river where you could see the city on either side before visiting one of the oldest houses left in hue which was really interesting as we had an English speaking guide which told us about the history ect. We then visited a famous temple and pagoda which still now amaze me at how beautiful and detailed they are! After that we stopped off at a food market where the little old lady got off the boat to buy the food she was going to make us for lunch, it all looked a bit wiered and I was sure I was going to be starving afterwards but it was amazing. We sat around on the floor of the boat in a circle and picked from the amazing dishes she had made, rice, vegatables in spices, an egg and veg omelette thing and tofu which I had never tried before but she made it with other things and it tasted amazing. I tried everything and loved it and even had seconds but jord just sat and had rice and didn't dare try anything which I think was stupid and such a waste! I am also now a pro at using chopsticks as over here they even use them to eat rice, currys and soups! In the afternoon we went to a place and leanrned how to make inscence sticks and the traditional hats which was really good. After we visited tombs of past emporerss, which we're so amazing built and massive, some had the areas the size of around 6 football fields surrounded with statues, very elaborate. We then finished the day by going to a resteraunt which served western food, mmm spag Bol, although not a patch on yours mom! I do miss being able to into the kitchen and pick whatever I fancied out of the fridge or cupboards! We have booked another bus now to take us to the capital city Hanoi, 16 hour journey from here, wish us luck!
