So this will be my last blog whilst overseas, I will post one more when I get back home though.
At this stage there isn't much I can say, the last couple of days have been the hardest and most boring, besides a few stand out moments. It's mainly been difficult because I'm getting so close to coming home that I would've rather gotten it over with and left for Melbourne a few days ago. But then again, now that I finally am coming home, part of me wants to go elsewhere, but that's a good thing I suppose it means that I'm not ready to give up travelling, I will make another trip, whether 1 year or 5 years down the track I do not know.
But I'll cover all this when I get back home.
Two days ago everyone bar me went o a cooking class so I struck out on my own and made my way into the city. I found a bar with Happy Hour from 9am to 7pm and made good use of it. The place is called Mango Rooms so naturally a lot of their meals involve mango, and their drinks as well. A mango Mojito is amazing, it's just a regular Mojito with mango blended through it, it was so good I had to get many, then had a strawberry Mojito, which again so amazing that I couldn't just stop at 1. As I was wandering back to the taxi area, I got intercepted by a Vietnamese lady and
Pretty much dragged to her shop, which was a tailor, and me not wanting to be rude started asking about prices and what not, apparently this places charges less for crazy suits so in a moment of stupidity (or clarity) I bought a bright orange tailored suit, to be picked up the next day. Got a taxi back to the hotel ad met up with the rest since they'd finished their cooking course. Then we went for dinner at Streets restaurant. No not the ice cream. It's an international restaurant chain that employs kids off the street and pays for courses as well so they can get employment at hotels and other restaurants and keep them of the streets.
Picked up my suit yesterday and it turned out to be more of a gold suit than bright orange but meh. It's something that I never would've bought in Australia because it was cost a lot but given it was really cheap I now have a crazy suit I can wear to parties.
The other eventful thing yesterday was the motorbike ride through the rice fields. They have bikes with side cars, so we all jumped on and were driven by staff along a skinny dirt track that runs through the rice fields. we stopped briefly at a vegetable garden and Oliver and Mark attempted to water it but couldn't carry enough water, a job that a 5" old woman could do.
Anyway today has been the most boring day of all and cannot wait to finally get home. I'll be back at Melbourne airport in around 27 hours and will write my final blog some time on Monday.
A la prochaine
