Helloo!!!!!

I've finally managed to update this thingy! So right now im in Byron Bay, which is a great little town near Brisbane. I'm staying in the Backpackers Inn on the beach, which is nice enough and quite cheap too! There is not much to do around here if you dont like sunbathing and drinking, but luckily i'm fine with that!

It's quite a "hippy" town, everywhere smells of insence and there are alot of people with dreads! But it's very laid back and calm, which makes a change from Sydney!

Sydney was very different but also a beautiful place. I stayed in Surfside backpackers, which was just across the road from the beach in Coogee Bay (a little suburb in Sydney). There I was with a group called Ozintro and they were brilliant! With the group we got to do many activites, including a jet boat ride around Sydney Harbour, where you got some great views of the Harbour when you weren't getting soaked! We also learnt how to surf and i managed to stand up for about a second!

We also did a hike up the blue mountains, which is a sort of rainforest with some waterfalls and wildlife.

I met some great people on the first week: Sophie and Claire, who i am travelling with at the moment, Emily, who i am meeting later on in Cairns and we are going to try and get jobs there and maybe rent a place together for a few months. Casper, a dutch guy who was lovely, but has decided to go home already because he is missing home to much. James and Roscoe, two friends from Leeds who are in Byron with us and Lauren, a girl from Scotland who has just left Byron to do some farm work.
