Bangkok:
After landing in Bangkok on the 23rd August we went straight to the hospital to try and get Ellie's knee sorted. The doctor did not have a clue what he was doing. Ellie had to explain to him how he needed to drain the liquid from her knee. He tried to do this without anaesthetic but she insisted he gave her it. He then begun the draining before the anaesthetic had kicked in which resulted in Ellie screaming in pain, having to be held down by the nurse and clenching onto her arm. Finally he managed to take out some orange disgusting fluid. Lisa looked like she was going to be sick.
We got a taxi to a hostel we were booked into, decided we didn't want to stay there and actually paid the man to not stay there, and got a tuk tuk to koh San road where we found a nice hostel bang in the centre. We got some street food and begun our night out with the standard. We consumed this whilst having a massage in the middle of the street. Ellie got very into her massage whilst Lisa was in agony. We the decided it would be a great idea to eat a scorpion...it was not too bad...rather crunchy. Now we want to try a grasshopper! We did lots of laughing gas and a random little Thai boy started plaiting Ellie's hair Princess Leia style. We were very drunk and went to bed!
The next morning Sarah arrived! Ellie and Lisa went to Ellie's hospital appointment in a very long tuk tuk journey. The hospital was amazing and the specialist doctor was really good. After hours of blood tests, bum injections and ultra sounds we finally left with some strong steriods which should hopefully sort out the stupid annoying problem once and for all!
That night we all got ready for our night out. We ate an amazing falafel wrap from the street and bought vodka buckets from the bar. We bought bracelets for Team S and went to some random bars on the street and did lots more laughing gas. We ended up at the Club which was really fun, all very drunk and went back to the hostel!
It was perfect timing as we were in Bangkok for the weekend market which was amazing! We all ended up buying millions of clothes, bikinis, sunglasses etc for under 30 pounds! We then left to continue our journey on the very comfortable and luxurious overnight train to Chiang Mai!
