You look fab in your new gear! Those trousers really suit you, as does the head scarf!! You look like you're really enjoying yourself! Things here are great - nothing much to report - just saving for our house and working hard as usual! Got my review at the end of June so if I don't get what I want I will be looking around for another job - got a meeting with some agencies tomorrow - it's Mum's b-day tomorrow so taking the day off and taking her shopping! Not too bad only being in work for a day!! I bet you're really missing work aren't you! Mat starts his new job today and will be picking up his company car - can't wait to see it.

Vietnam looks fab! Sounds like you're having a brilliant time. Very impressed with your new hubby, he looks gorgeous, sorry we couldn't make the wedding. Your little niece is growing fast, we went to a wedding yesterday and she was the star attraction in her little white dress bought especially for the occasion. I so know what you mean about the Vietnamese laughing at you, I got really paranoid about it, but then I realized that is what they do - at first I thought they were being really snide about backpackers taking over their country, but it is a polite thing over there. We are in kho Tao (it is raining) and matt starts his diving course soon, still unsure whether or not to take the plunge myself (gettit??!) sounds like you are making the most of vietnam, wish we were there too!! enjoy it!!!! xxxxx

Hi Elles, Soglad the party bus wasn't as bad as we had heard. Our journey was horrible, got shouted at by a man on the bus and then got told to go away in no uncertain terms (with a handy four letter word) when we tried to check in to the star dome inn!! Apart from that Bangkok is cool. I think matt answered all your questions, but just wanted to say hi myself - eventhough you are very popular and have lots of messages on you r website!! Tell George I have sent her post cards, and I finally got my self a buddah face Horay!! Just not allowed to post it as images of buddah are not allowed to be sent out of the country...what am i supposed to do wil 10 kilos of carved wood now??!! I will keep you posted. Tell me everything you are doing in Vietnam - enjoy it (and the cooler weather, Cambodia is still boiling hot!!)

alright there ladies. got your message and i don't remember getting hit by tuk tuk drivers (just tuk tuks), the roads are a bit mad, the best thing to do when crossing is look into the whites of the eyes of the oncoming traffic and cross slowly (you have to hope that they have seen you). As for food, if you go to the lake and head north you will eventually come across vietnams answer to the curry mile, it's a road all specialising in dog, if you want fast food get a greyhound. Otherwise if you go to the church (st joseph), put your back to the door and walk down the street opposite you will come to a few french cafes and stuff. Otherwise ask for kangaroo cafe, very nice burgers. Babys in jars is in Saigon so you've got a couple of weeks left yet. Well done on the sight seeing, all we did today is go shopping, get a massage then to the cinema (very nice, your seats recline and they give you a pillow and blanket), more a day of pampering.
