13Th OF MAY
Left home bright and early for our flight to Rome via Dubai took 26 hours from door to door!!, arrived at our hostel at about 10pm and had our first slice of italian pizza and saw some fireflies for the first time, cant wait to start sight seeing in rome!

14TH OF MAY -
Had a huge day of exploring rome today! we saw the colosseum, tossed some coins in the Trevi Fountain, Palatino Hill which is ruins of ancient Rome and the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele which was built to commemorate the unification of Italy. Had our first Pasta for lunch!!

15TH OF MAY -
Today we visited the Vatican City, there were thousands of paintings and marble statues they were amazing, we saw the Sistine Chapel which took Michelangelo 4 years to paint it was very impressive. We also visited St Peters Square Just missed the Pope!
Had our first gelato Yum!

16TH OF MAY -
Headed into Rome bright and early for breakfast croissant and a Italian coffee!, left the centre of Rome to see the Catacombs of Rome which were was first Christian cemetery used from the 2nd to the 5th century, there is over 20kms of underground tunnels with over a million people burried there including 16 popes. Caught the bus back to central Rome and did a tour of the inside of the Colosseum, Had a beautiful dinner in the heart of the city at Grill and Wine.
