This morning we hung out by our bungalows before catching a taxi to a waterfall and then to Phu Quoc Airport. Our taxi driver thought he was 'hot stuff' playing remixes of Rhianna songs that came out years and years ago, I thought otherwise…and his driving…we there was a bit of tooting of the horn and going super fast dodging traffic on the other side of the road, and just missing a lot truck by millimeters! But hey, we made it to the waterfall alive. We trekked up the hillside to the peak of the waterfall but found a much nicer, quieter place to bathe as there were far too many other tourists, who, left their cans and lunch wrappers lying about, which I thought was highly disrespectful and horrid.
We made it to the airport with plenty of time to spare (unlike our last flight!) and boarded a much larger, comfier plane. After quite a pleasant flight through big fluffy cuddly looking clouds we arrived at Ho Chi Minh City at about 6pm local time, checked into our hotel and set off to dinner. We found a Mexican/Italian restaurant that had paper and pencils on the tables which we had quite a lot of fun with and left a none saying '5 happy Australian bellies, thank you!' Anyway, I'm off to begin my adventure in Thailand tomorrow morning so hooroo Vietnam!
