Today I woke up pretty late cause of terrible jet lag but was pretty excited to start seeing this concrete mish mash of buildings. Beneath our hotel and the two others (which together form a triangle) are three MASSIVE shopping centres. HK is pretty much founded upon loads of underground malls.
Really dissapointingly had a McDonald's for lunch, to be honest I was hoping to get one of those weird black and white burgers I've heard rumours about, but they didn't have one at this restaurant (?)
Pablo and I went on to travel the HK Metro, which was pretty standard (I'll always prefer the tube)
We then went to an arcade FULL of weird, sad old women addicted to the penny fall games (awks cause I f***ing love penny falls, probs an accurate portrayal of my future) (with ten cats too)
Wasted ALOT of money, as you do at arcades, but I had alot of fun, got some s***ty little presents and stickers and some seaweed (caj) and just pissed about with Pablo... It was good.
The heat outside is most accurately described by my mother "it's like when you open the doors to the f***ing oven" everything is air conditioned so it's really hard to get used to the heat.
Finally we went to the pool of a neighbouring hotel as ours is being built. You get a great view of all the bank buildings, especially the Bank of China.
We had a lovely meal in a Peruvian restaurant Mayta
