Other examples of floor mosaics

Ephesus was an amazing experience. To walk the streets founded so many years ago. To hear how the city changed and adapted to it's inhabitants was intriguing. This mosaic has been excavated from the rubble from wealthy inhabitants homes. The homes were built on terraces. The area was destroyed by earthquakes and bits reused to build new houses. But this and other floors were preserved to be unearthed later!
