It was about you being back from Africa and having a get together and talking about your trip (nothing out of the ordinary), but it was exciting to see you in my dreams! :) Hope you enjoy your last week! Just to update Eleana's progress...
She had limited phone and internet access in Johannesburg, less than she had while in the Hazyview (boonies) area. Her work with Wellness Africa was intense some days, then there was no phone or internet access at the guest lodge where she staying. We were able to communicate through a pay phone outside the guest house (motel).
Eleana called from Cape Town (actually from a hotel with a phone). She sounded good and is looking forward to experiencing the Cape of Good Hope, where the Atlantic & Indian Oceans meet. Her flight plans have changed, but we plan to meet her in Raleigh-Durham Airport on Monday, July 17th, about 11:00pm, unless she can clear a standby on an earlier flight from Washington Dulles.
The orphanage shipping continues. We still have 10-12 boxes to ship, so keep praying, or send $$$'s. Thanks for all your love & support!

Hello! How are you? I hope things are going great! I have been trying to get to know my way around the new job! I think I am going to like it, once I get to know everything! I am however, ready to start implementing programs! I thought of a great way to get kids in the county to become more active! Hertford County has the second highest rate of childhood obesity in the State so I thought that the idea would have no problem becoming a program that I implement in the school system! I am so excited about it I just hope I can pull it off!
Well enjoy the rest of your time in Africa and I can't wait to see you!
Mr. Brockett
By theway, the last message was from me, and I'm still bigger!!! I'm not exactly sure what happened with the message and header. Dad
It was good to hear from you today. I hope you have a good time in Cape Town, and take in all the excitement. Maybe you can slide in some work during all the sightseeing. Mom or I will be sending out some more boxes on Monday, maybe they will get there before you leave. Had a long talk with Brian, it was good to hear from him. He is in Fay. visiting the neice and nephew and his brother, who brought the kids in yesterday. Well, I will talk to you later, I love you and miss ya. Love Dad

Hey, Eleana, guess I have talked to you the most by phone lately. Only because I can get through to that pay phone outside your guest house at the time you are there late in the afternoon
"chillin'". So, now your time is winding down. My how the time has gone by. Hope you have made the very best of the time in South Africa, and did it all!
I know you are looking forward to your trip to Cape Town to wrap up your stay. Enjoy yourself!
I know you remember Teva. I ran into Frank Daniels just about 2 weeks ago at CFVMC. We had a nice chat. It was good to see him again. They are not far from here, so we'll visit them when you get home. Yes, lots of folks want to see you and to hear all about your trip.
Bedtime now, love you, Mom

Eleana,
Hello! My grandmother sent me the newspaper clipping about you in South Africa! Wow! What an accomplishment! I hope you're learning more than you learn in books in college, and that you'll never forget the blessings that you will bring to the people in South Africa.
I don't know if you remember me, but I am Frank Daniels' grand-daughter, and knew you when I was in 5th grade and a temporary member of your church in Grays Creek. Please email me sometime, and I will continue to read your journal entries to find out about your progress.
God Bless You!

Mom
Happy 4th of July South African style! We are so blessed to celebrate the freedoms given to us by so many ancestors.
We have hot dogs & the fixins', watermellon and Mrs. Emma has hamburgers & fixin's. We're going to the Hope Mills parade, but will mainly stay around the house in between. It's supposed to be 98, the hottest day of the year! It's been in the 90's with 100+ humidity since we got back from the cruise.
We'll be thinking of you, so if you call, call my cell or the house #. Can't wait to see you. I'm going to call UA back tomorrow about the possibility of getting you flown back to RDU for under $300.
Love ya, Mom

Hi My Little Bitty Sweeetie; I have been kinda busy working out in the downed trees that we have. I hope you were busy too, that makes the time go by quicker. What exactly are you doing now: you said something about presentations? If you only have to work a portion of the day, that's the job to get and go back to school part-time. I understand Aubrey is back in town, apparently Keri talked to him today on the phone. The girls have gone to get some small fireworks for tomorrow. I wouldn't give a lot of money so they were disappointed. I'm not really in the mood to sit outside with the bugs to watch sparklers, but of course i will. Just a short note to say hi, and I love and miss you. Guess what I'M STILL BIGGER!!!!!!!! Love Dad
