So the last few days in Singapore have flown by, without a blog update.....We have done lots and I have to say I LOVE Singapore. It is clean, friendly, has easy map navigation, the food is lovely and the sights are amazing. The sky line at night is lovely.....
A lot though has to be said for the torrential down pours of rain that have happened most days and can last some time.....Step aside Uk this is rain........We even had to purchase some umbrellas to help us get about without being drenched.....
So, more importantly what have we been up to.....Wednesday we walked over to Sentosa Island, this Island has a Universal Studios and lots to see and do. We wen't up to the Massive Merlion statue, which was amazing to see......I also found the biggest sweet shop ever, I was like a big kid in it (I might add I did not actually buy anything).
Following Sentosa Island, we decided to head back to the Marina Bay area and after a mission to find it, visited the Gardens by the way, this was lovely and lots to look at....Shame about the heat.......
Friday, we visited Orchard Road, which is a long road with an amazing amount of shopping malls on. Too many actually to see them all, so we decided to just walk up the road and stop if we spotted anything that took our fancy. We even spotted the hot chocolate shop so had to stop for another one.....
Night time saw us heading up to the Raffles Hotel for their famous Singapore Sling, even myself who doesn't enjoy cocktails had one and enjoyed it....It is tradition in the long bar where these are served to eat monkey nuts and throw the shells on the floor, so I joined in ( lots of messy floor areas).
Today (Saturday) is our last full day in Singapore and we have explored China Town and found lots of lovely stalls and markets to go round, so we will be spending the day here..............
Flight to Sydney tomorrow evening. (watch this space)......,
