Yesterday I thought I was exhausted, now I think I'm exhausted to an extreme! Only slept for a few hours last night due to jetlag & had to get up early for work so hopefully I'll sleep better tonight.
Got up for work, had a quick breakfast and was then met by a driver who took us to an office for a meeting with a guy from SOCO International. After this we drove 3 hours to the coast, a place called Vung Tau, where we had more meetings! It was nice to drive out of the city though and see more 'real' Vietnam, the city's a lot more built up then I thought it would be and really quite modern so it was nice to get out and see a different scene! As we drove back we got stuck in traffic although I think it's normal for this area! I presume there isn't such things as driving licenses and a highway code in Vietnam... the driving is unbelievable, really shocked we haven't seen an accident yet. Dad says it's just like Beijing was 10 years ago!
We got in from the meetings at about 7pm and Dad faffed around on the laptop for a bit, although he won't admit it. Then we went to get currency from the reception which proved a lot tougher then it sounds! But oh well. A nice guy at reception booked us a table at an Italian which was lovely, although it had a really really strange French waitor.. After our meal we walked around the city for a bit which gave just about the same adrenaline rush as Alton Towers would when I was crossing the streets! Anyway I'm in the hotel room now it's 22.55 here so I best be off to sleep, got to be up again in the morning although not as early and I get a break at lunchtime!
