Australian Female Takes on the World
Nope it certainly wasnt better. again this oppinion influenced by the dismal weather im sure.
even worse accom, "luxury bungalows" really meaning, s***ty cabins on stilts in the middle of nowhere, miles from full moon party beach.
decided within hours i couldnt be arsed staying in such primitive conditions and decided to leave the island area.
its not really a simple task, as u have to get a boat back to the mainland (or back to koh samui) and then in my case, several buses to phuket, and then the plane to bangkok.
i got on the "nite boat" which is like a "ferry" that takes u from the island back to the mainland. so fine, i can handle that, even more excited at the prospect that my ticket includes a bed.. how cool.
so i arrive and get on to see that my "bed" is just one of many single "mattresses" lining the sides of the inside of the boat! hahah.. i found it funny.. its like, heres all these poor travellers sleeping on thin mattresses below decks.. so i make some comment like "haha just like we're boat people" but the people next to me didnt get it. tourists. so anyways arrived safe and sound back at the mainland, about 6 hours later. long trip but slept most of it. then a few buses to the airport, then the plane back to bangkok and taxi back to my comfortable Holiday Inn.
must admit, am disappointed that i wont be going to PiPi now. tis the one place i really looked forward to. another time perhaps, when i have the money to spend of the type of accom that i like.
but on the whole, of the 2 beaches i DID see, i really dont rate them. australia s***s all over them. :)
btw that pic is of Krabi. a site supplied one. i didnt go there.
