Hello cookieface! Got the word from Mom that you're doing well. Great that you'll be with your host family. In my 3 experiences staying with families I found that the first week was somewhat disorienting as one gets to know the family, deals with the language and food and understands the surroundings. For me, something just clicked after the first week and I found my "sea legs". Bueno suerto cara mia!
