The Bowman Adventures
Well greetings or boo hoo everyone.........we have finished our tours around the world and the last spot being sunny Market Harborough......not quite Rio but it was great to see the family again. Both mums met us from Heathrow after a hellish journey in which we realised that we slept for only 20 minutes in 48 hours. Having said that seeing everyone and meeting all the family again managed to keep us going. Both mums were very patient as we landed in Heathrow at 7am but did not come out of the baggage area until 9am.....due to baggage handling equipment shortages........the biggest problems we've had in 4 and a half months. After being met by mums waving flags with pictures of me and Ruth on (most embarassing) and tears (not from me) we headed for our first port of call...Watford. It reminded us a little of Rio, as we had a well earned cup of tea with Ruth's grandma and grandad. From there another tough journey in a BMW 3 series up the M1 to my parents....there we were treated to a lovely salad courtesy of M and S. Next were all the visits from the rellies. we paid a call to my Grandma and Grandad down the garden....and it was Great to see the nephews, Ben and Max (well done Ben on learning to ride a bike without stabilisers today). Even realised that I quite missed my sister Vic, and it was worth seeing Bernie just for his new haircut. Welcome also to Sochu and Mechu....2 new members of the family...............fantastic Boxer pups belonging to Rob and Helen that are doing a great job of destroying many a garden. After daring to relieve themselves on P and M's lawn, the party broke up for the evening.....................until tomorrow when we all join the Lancasters for a BBQ and trampolining. Bring on the reunion's....contact us on the usual numbers for hrs of interesting tales, if this puts you off we can still manage basic chit chat ..............so givve us a call. E and R
