So there was a big change of plans, around 7pm on Fri night, we were told that we were heading back to Navajo. So we packed the van up that night and set off. It was Halloween so a few of the guys were in costume, it was too cold in the morning for "super kiwi" to come out. My job was to demolish a wall with Jenny. Straight after work I got into costume. Then we carved pumpkins for my first time and kiwi Steve's first time also. We ended up doing a really good job of it, it was so much fun. Then we went trick or treating around the camp site and the park rangers houses, very funny. We had so much fun, I definitely will be hosting a Halloween party when I get back home every year. The crew was really good, and a had a fun hitch, I wasn't as loud or talkative as normal and they all managed to give me grief about that. I spent two days building the other end of the wall and it went up really fast. It was different working with sandstone. It is very soft and cracks or shatters the way you dont want it to. I got really lucky and that only happened a few times. We went out for dinner at Beaver Street Brewery, I had some pasta before going out so I dont have to pay for food and just socialized.
That night a few of us were drinking in the back yard of the house, this is not allowed by ACE and I have been told to leave ACE. So Sam, Adam and Ana took me to canyonlands to do a 3day hike around the dome. It was really fun, very scenic and awesome to be sleeping under the stars again.
Now I am going to go alot of bush hiking untill my flight on the 27th out of Phoenix. Im looking forward to many more nights under the stars. I will stay safe and will stay in touch as often as I can.
