Ed's International Experience
Set off south to Beaver creek we dropped 2000ft so it was alot warmer out there, we had a relaxing day the river in a nice spot. It was so nice to spend the avo next to creek when im in the middle of the desert. Beaver creek is within Sedona, it is a well rated place in America and I really enjoyed it there. We drove through the dark looking for a quiet place for the 6 of us to sleep and ended up in a RV park next to the interstate, it was good though we just spent the night in a spa bath and then by the fire. In the morning we headed back to Flag along the sedona scenic route and then me Stef and Tim carried on to Las Vegas.
On the way to Vegas we just chilled out listening to good music and I was spread out in the back. I handed through our snacks of sausage sandwiches, twix and chips when required. 30min from Vegas at the Nevada border is the Hoover Dam. I was really excited it is such an amazing structure, seen as it was built so long ago. We parked at the top and walked over it, admiring the view, gold doors and monuments.
We were so excited coming into Vegas always saying cheesy sayings. We would see something and name it and say cant wait to go there. Our accommodation for 2nights was Hooters Hotel Resort for only 20dolla a night. It was nice having Hooters girls doing most of the jobs. We moved quick and got on the strip by 4pm. Straight to New York New York to ride the roller coaster. We got a cheap ticket of just 3dolla each off a random lady so saved heaps with luck. Then we headed up the strip and it really cool here you can drink on the street. We popped into different casinos before taking a taxi from Paris to the Stratifer tower. For 30dolla we went up the tower and on the top is 3 rides you can do, it was such a good view and the rides were really fun. Got shot up in the air, got thrown off and just caught in time and went round in circles off the edge. We then headed back down the strip to watch the free shows that the hotel/casinos put on. We saw a firery volcano, massive water show and a pirate show. We went into all the casinos on that side of the strip. They were amazing, I made it back to Hooters at 4am and then down to the pool and spa.
Next morning we had a buffet breakfast, then went and got tickets for a Las Vegas Show we choose Crazy Girls, it has been going for 22years, it was very good a mixture of dancing, magic and comedy. The afternoon before the show we spent time by the pool. And checked out the Luxor my favourite (and would be my sisters fav) its a massive pyramid. Another fav is MGM it was so big it had everything there was no reason to ever leave, pretty much like all of them.
We had dinner at Hooters and got a really nice photo with the girls. Got back to Hooters at 2am and up early to get back to Flag.
I had a really good time in Vegas, ive always wanted to go and just experience it. Im very glad that i did everything I wanted to and wasnt a cheap ass. I really experienced Vegas my way. Just means ill be running a tight budget untill Canada, but thats all good thats what I do best.
Thats a nice overview of the trip but as the saying goes "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas".
