The day started with another beautiful blue sky.Last evening, Harm and Allan met up with the Vehicle bonding guy and got our bonds to transit the U.S.The crew had the opportunity to have a nice breakfast at the Lodge before getting ready for the day.Tab even went across the street and got travel TIMS for everybody along with a ton of doughnuts.Allan did a great morning briefing before heading out.A quick stop at Canadian Tire to pick up a new headlight for Harms truck and then it was off to the US border.
A fantastic day to be on the road. The sun is shining bright and very little snow left in the south of Alberta.Arrived at the border by about 1000.Three of us got green (get out jail) cards and three got stop and visit the Homeland Security cards. Our visit with Homeland Security went really well, they stamped our documents, check our passports and wished us a fine trip- painless for everybody involved.THANKS Homeland Security.
The crew is getting to know each other - no doubt another great Rotary to Mexico Crew.
Then we were on our way to Shelby Montana and stopped for lunch and had a chance to do a little cleanup on some of the vehicles.Back on the road, stop in Helena for fuel and a health break before doing the last leg of todays adventure to Dillon, Montana.
We arrived in Dillon and had a couple of refreshments before out for supper at the Lions Den- great steaks and local beers for the crew.
Then the crew had some fellowship back at the hotel to get ready for an 8 departure to Beaver.
