Again we are eating...and at another free internet place. a nice cheap italian restaurant off the beaten track, where a massive dinner was about 10 euros! it's really annoying here, though, because Prague are a little behind with the currency, and still have their cronas (i think that's what they're called). not much to say about the rest of our berlin stay apart from a lovely evening lounge by the river, after a heavy traditional German cuisine dinner - schnitzels galore! - tho no lederhosen, which i myself was very dissapointed about. then the next morning, we got up at the crack of dawn (7am), and got ready to head off to Prague. That was the first and only event of the day that was early, however - there was an S-bahn strike, so we had to WALK to the station, then we found out that there was a strike on the intercity trains as well, so our train was 90 mins late! but it finally came and we had a lovely american couple with us - some sort of weird travelling double date. aaand being a european train, we stopped for another 30 - 40 mins, so we got to Prague really quite late, struggled to our hostel, which turned out to be the most charming little thing - no bunk beds (!), tables and chairs, luxuries that we were pretty unused to. then we walked around for a bit, really quite blown away with how dainty and ornatmental the centre of Prague is (don't be put off by the disused building quality of the train station). In Berlin you can feel quite tense and tiny next to the massive, proud buildings. In Prague, everything seems more chilled out, and less aggressive. And here we are - in a nice, cheap Italian place, having stuffed our faces - we haven't eaten since 12, 'cause of the train (on which we bought a stale sandwich and a tiny bottle of water for 6 euros). That's the end of today, guys...hope it's not too much of a struggle getting through these, I know yesterdays was a bit of an epic! xxx
