Ed's Travels
Hello everybody. You will now see that i have managed to upload some photos for you all to see. and due to all your comments i will try and make sure that my spelling and grammer is a little better this time. Since writing last time i have been quite busy. After i updated last time i headed beck to Miraflores, the area around the hotel. From here i set off to have a quick look at the surrounding area. It is not as busy as downtown lima and has a much more layed back and affluent feel about it. On my wanderings i found a quiant little English pub bang in the centre of miraflores where it was nice to meet and speek to a couple of people that were english, after a few days of trying to speek broken spanish. It is amazing how cheap beer is out here, you can get a LITRE of bere for the enghlish equivalant of only about 2 pounds, bargain. talking of cheep the food is really cheap as well. You can get a decent meal and a couple of drinks for aboutn 4 pounds.
Anyway, yesterday i went off in search of another waterproof top which luckily i manged to find after quite a bit off walking around. I then went to find somewhere to eat and i found a small place where i had a very nice meal and where i could just put my feet up for a couple of hours. The problem that i have found is that even though there looks to be alot of things to see and look around, infact they are quite limited and i managed to do most of them in the first two days.
So i spent the afternoon strolling around and then i started to look at my guide for New Zealand so that i can organise my accomodation in Auckland in good time. Can you ask richard i he remembers where he stayed, it would be a real help.
Today i think i might head up towards the centre again to look around the National Museum of art, probably the last major thing to look around. I will be glad when people arrive tomorrow as i think i have exhausred what i can do on my own and it will be nice to have people to go out and eat with.
I hope that everyone is getting better and that the lambing is not too frenetic quite yet. Can you send me grandpa's email address as i should probably correspond with him about New Zealand.
