Ed's Travels
Queenstown!!,Queenstown!!,Queenstown!!
What can i say!!
Queenstown has to be the best place i have visited so far. Not just because it was a really nice towm in the most amazing situation but because of the things you could do and the peaple that were there.
As you have probably seen by now the picture for this entry is of me doing the NEVIS bungy. At 134m it is the highest bungy in Australasia and the second highest in the world. At 134m you freefall for about 8.5 seconds down to the canyon floor. And it is all done from a large cable car suspended over the canyon. It has to be the best thing i have ever done along with my skydive. After having changed my mind from sying that i would never do it to that if i didn't do it i would always regret it, i decided that if i was going to do one that i might as well do the highest one possible.
Anyway back to queenstown itself. To be honest i have still to go and look round the town. Queenstown is THE party town so i have been embracing this as much as possible. After 6 big nights out in a row you never feel like getting up in the morning to look around. I have been on a great bus with some really nice people so we made sure that we all had a good time. And i am sure you can see from the photos that we did a pretty good job of it.
I am in Dunedin at the moment doing one of the Kiwi Experience add ons called Bottom Bus. I thought as i have been to the northern tip, the eastern and western tips and the centre of New Zealand that i might as well say that i have been to the southern tip as well. I can say then that i have really seen all of New Zealand.
Tomorrow we are off further south ending up in a place called Curio Bay which has a population of 11 which should eb fun. Then it is around to the west the next day and thewn the day after that it is to Milford Sounds.
I hope that everyone i ok and that they are not too jealous. I am glad that the Church Fete went well and that the garden is coming along again.
Mum thank you also for transfering the money it is much needed after my 6 nights in Queenstown.
I will write again soon when i get back to Queenstown or even Christchurch.
