So I know that there have been a few days where you didn't hear from us, don't be alarmed we are still alive we just couldn't find a computer to type on. Last Monday we took a side trip to Bath, England and it was beautiful and quiet. We walked around trying to get our bearings and found the Abbey and attached to that was the Roman Bath. We decided to splurge and go through. The only thing was that everyone had little devices held up to their ears so they could follow along the tour at their own pace and it looked like everyone was using a cell phone. You had to be careful because people weren't looking where they were going and you'd end up running into them. At the end we go to taste the water...an experience I hope that I don't have to repeat. It tasted like it does when your mouth is bleeding and it was really warm. We drank the whole thing though because we were told it would be good for us. Such troopers! Then we walked towards the Jane Austen Center but by the time we got there it had closed so we had to settle for some nice pictures of Colin Firth and pretend we got to see Mr Darcy. That night we made our way to our next hostel in Londond and...it was interesting. A Napolean Dynamite look a like was helping us check in so that was a plus. The unfortunate thing was that our room was on the top floor and it was about the size of...a walk in closet and the girls that were already in there had been there for a few days and had already taken over the rest of the beds and lockers so we had to wait for tehm to move them out.
We got up the next morning and left the hostel around 5.30 or so and walked to Waterloo station to catch our train to Paris. After seeing Bourne Ultimatum we were alittle afraid of that place but it turned out well. We found our train and our seats and we were off to Paris. When we got there it was confusing and a little disorienting because we had a hard time sleeping the night before waiting for he alarm to go off. We decided to walk around to find our hostel because on the map it didn't seem so far away but we got lost...more than a few times but eventually we made our way the right direction. We had a room and bathroom all to ourselves and it was very nice to not worry about sharing a bathroom...what can I say. We left our stuff at the hostel adn took off for Notre Dame Cathedral and ended up walking around the outside just taking it all in and then we found a line on the side of the cathedral adn decided to wait thinking it was to get inside...after 30 minutes of waiting we finally realized we were in a line to go to top of the tower which would have been cool and all but that cost money and we hadnt gotten ahold of the whole Euro thing yet. We found the line to enter the cathedral and got walk through and see all the art. It was amazing, they were even playing grgorian chant music. The next day we went to the Louvre and saw all those painting we had read about in books and that took us teh rest of the day and hen we headed to the eiffel tower and made it to the top. What a view! Well show pictures when we can get this thing working. I'm down to my last minute so I better finish up. Thanks for writing everyone and we look forward to hearding from all of you again!
