Not all that much to report today - our lesson was at 7am so I set my alarm for 6:15am, then fell back asleep until Paul woke me as they were off to the beach. Scoffed breakfast and met them at Mulawarra. Surf was actually quite fun, one of the best sessions on my board so far. It was about 2ft and reasonably clean. Got locked out my room last night so had to sleep in one of the others, and some how managed to sleep in the bed with the worlds worst mattress. Probably got about 3 hours sleep and then everyone started to move around so I got up, had breakfast and went for a surf. Still getting used to the new board which is frustrating, especially as the surf was a bit lumpy and horrible. Just waiting around for lunch now Byro can't imagine anything interesting will happen to...

So I'm writing this a day late so will probably forget stuff - I got up in the morning and the surf wasnt that great so decided I would chill out and hope the ribs get completely fixed. Then one of the lessons with about 30 people in only had 2 instructors so I jumped in at the deep end and started my 'work experience' hours by helping with the lesson. After having a day off with the ribs yesterday I surfed in my lesson this morning - a combination of getting used to the new board and not great waves lead to a bit of a frustrating surf. So I woke up this morning to Arrawarra at 2-3ft and glassy...but I have been struck down with the popular problem of bad ribs. About half the people here have suffered from a similar problem with different levels of severeness. Mine seems to be very minor at the moment so have had a day out the water in the hope it will feel better tomorrow. One of the others was out for 2 weeks!
