Hey guys! Just taking the opertunity to update as and when so i don't have to sit for hours at a time trying to remember where the hell we stayed last night!
We went to the Cadburys Chocolate Factory in Dunedin . . . . it was . . . . ummmmm. . . . .interesting! We got given chocolate and Rachel earnt some by answering a question! ( i am a clever girl!!) We had to wear those silly little hats over our hair! Ed looked like an Umpa-lumpa!! We had a really old women that tried to be "cool" guiding us around but we only saw DVDs of how chocolate was made and then we were shoved in this big container and watched a tonne of chocolate fall from the roof before being told it was over! When we walked out Ed looked a little confused about the whole experience but personally i think he was sulking because most of the chocolate that was given away was marshmallow which he can't eat!! Oh Dear!!
We then headed up the peninsular to see albertrose, seals and pengins! It would have cost $30 to see a big sealgull - so we didn't, then we went to see the penguins but they were on private land - so we didn't but we did see one seal on a very far away rock!! Don't you hate it when you get days like that!
We left Dunedin and drove to lake Tekapo - it took all day but it was a lovely drive! The lake is such a fantastic blue - its exactly like the picture!
Today we drove over to Mount Cook and went for a short walk around the mountains. It was quite cloudy so we couldn't see the top of the mountain but it was fairly impressive!
We're now in Christchurch with only 4 nights left until Rachel and Ed fly out to Australia but Laila's got an extra night - hopefully she'll behave when unaccompanied but you can never tell with that one!
x x x x Ta Ta for now!
