Siem reap, Cambodia
Hi everyone,
I had to change travel blog websites to accommodate my ipad. After an endless journey we arrived in Siem Reap around noon on Friday. The warm balmy breeze felt wonderful as we got off the plane. The officials in the airport granted Isabel a permanent visa to enter Cambodia anytime and stay as long as she wants. She was very proud of this,
As we traveled to the hotel Isabel's eyes were wide open with amazement. She smiled and said, you know, I like it here. Since that time she's been on top of the world with happiness, eyes wide open and taking it all in.
We are staying in a quaint and modest hotel where the owner and his staff are so accommodating to their guest's every needs. The pool and the surroundings are so lush and tropical, the pool is beautiful, the food is so good. A major perk is the laundry service. You leave your clothes in a basket and they come back all washed and ironed in the afternoon.
Our first day out we went to a pottery class where Isabel had such a wonderful experience making some bowls. In the afternoon we went to a silk farm where the kids learned how silk is made from silk worms.
We ended the day with a wonderful made by the innkeepers wife. Isabel was asleep before her head hit the pillow. she's just so happy and content here. Next entry will be about our day at the temples...it was so cool!
