Darwin: Buzz Cafe down at the marina area.

Rainbow Valley, south of Alice.

Bitter Springs a few k north of Mataranka

Kakadu: Mamukala Wetlands (very peaceful, so leave the kids in the car)

Edith Falls north of Katherine - good camping and lovely waterfall and waterhole.
