hi every one, well we eventually made it to perth from Auckland on June 1, 19 hours after leaving auckland airport. Flight delayed at the start by two and half hours meant we missed our connecting flight from Sydney to Perth and as a consequence spend another four hours in the airport waiting for a flight to leave at 6pm. which was about 8pm nz time. After another five hours we arrive in perth, at about 2am our time, 9.pm Perth time! What a day! then we had to wait twenty minutes in a taxi queue waiting for a taxi to take us to my friend Lynda's place - she and her husband Rob have three boys and they were very welcoming. isabel slept mostly on the last flight, missing out her dinner and ice-cream. Tim and Nicola managed ok, infact the kids were very good under the circumstances and we arrived with all our luggage! today has been very pleasant catching up with old tales and new , walks on the beach (burns beach in iluka) and having a beer for lunch! next stop jo -burg on wednesday 4th june. hope this flight is a lot better!
