Hi there,

We have had a bit of feedback that we hadn't posted anything yet....give us a break you lot...we haven’t set off yet ;-) Only joking, the excitement is building as I have finished work and its Melissa's last day on Friday! Its sad times, as some of our really good friends are moving on, but on the positive side we have both been paid our redundancy money....therefore we're in the Wonga!!! We are starting to get some key essentials for the trip and we are now in possession of a snazzy new netbook, which i am writing this blog on! It also has a webcam built in, so there will be no excuses for us not to Skype people during our travels! I bought a backpack at the weekend, so i should really think about packing soon! Melissa is well ahead of the game and started packing over a month ago...not sure how many shoes we are down to now! Anyhow we are both expecting a hectic couple of weeks ahead of our departure as we catch up with family and friends to say our tearful goodbyes ;-( However we'll post again before we depart, but please stay in touch and thanks for the lovely messages so far :-)
