Day Five: We spent the evening exploring Manhattan beach. We ate dinner at a Southern fusion place, grits and okra were consumed. It's a little strange but pretty tasty. After dinner we barhopped a little and ended up at a less than authentic Irish bar. Part way through the night a group of girls comes up to the bar and is asking about non-alcoholic beer. They work it out and get an O'Douls for their friend. We are thinking it's for a pregnant girl or something....

Day Three: Not much going on for day three. Did SIGGRAPH all day then went to the nuke unveiling at Club Mayan at night. The show was pretty impressive and the bar was open so it was good. After the show David met me out front and we went to a place called "The Falls". We met some cool folks and a couple of guys working for a similar company as me in Suwanee. They're hiring so I dropped them a card.

Yeah, that's a DeLorean (I'm sure I spelled that wrong).

Day Three: David is working this morning so I'm taking the train into LA. The trip is nice but takes about two hours when it's all said and done.

Day Two: Woke up this morning and went exploring the Inland Empire. It's why everyone calls the area west of LA where it's hot and cheap. It's the equivalent of living OTP. I find the burbs more appealing. We stopped for lunch in a town called Upton and the picture is of a sign behind the bar. Welcome to LA, right? Upland is a nice little burb and would not be the worst place to live.
