Well here we are in Katherine! How we got here..... well we drove drove drove!!! THe boys were great considering we had done just over 1200 km in 2 days..... A whole load of nothing especially from Mount Isa to Three Ways!!! OMG talk about NOTHING!!! dont know how I can describe it more!! The roads were pretty good though... until ,,, bang you went over the border into NT - then bumpty bumpty bump! and did I say about NOTHING!! hahahah
Anyway pushed on to Three Ways Roadhouse/caravan park - gee they slug you there for everything!!! $ 35 for an unpowered site for all of us! Anyway was going to push another 50kms but we were all very weary and in need of a shower after the dusty place we stayed at last night.... Plus it had been spitting with rain since we crossed the border! and COLD - unbelievable... middle of Oz and it was cold!!

Anyway, another big driving day up to Katherine.... this time more towns on the way.... stopped at Daly Waters for a lunch cook up. Stopped for an hour..... Kids played with a little border collie pup this young girl had pulled up with.... Cute!

Anyway... on we went to Katherine , arriving here around 4.00pm = visited the info centre to get info ( der !) and our Kakadu passes... Also a list of van parks around the area. We pulled into 2 with nothing then the 3rd time lucky! gee they cram you in! Anyway we are 5 minute walk from the back gate of the park to the Thermal Pools! so that is where we will head when everyone is up... ( It is 7am here and pitch black outside! )

Dave had just been for a shave! First time since last Sunday! lolol Thank goodness! He couldnt stand it anymore... so he got up an hour ago to shave it off! hahahah
Jack and Liam chilling out heaps while we are here. No packing up to do today! We are here for another night. Need to plan how we are going to tackle Kakadu.... and also catch up on 3 loads of washing! First time since we left! lolol

Today probably have a look at the Katherine Gorge, and Low Level Nature park.... and of course a dip into the thermal pools. The latter one Jack is looking forward to! And of course it is actually Liams birthday today!!! Yahoo 4 years old... The first thing he just woke up and said , I am 4 and I can do poos in the toilet! lolololol
