Wow! where to start of the last 3 days in Darwin
here goes..........
Woke up ( hahahahha ) did washing,,,,, exciting isnt it! went for a drive into Darwin to have a look around and get familiar with the area and Darwin.. What a feel good place!! Lovely city! so many parks and tracks etc. Lovely marinas... really nice place....we all loved it ....
Went to Casuarina Central where there is a humungus shopping centre... must be like as big as Robina Town Centre. Was huge! Got a few things we needed there and headed back to van for another swim in pool...
Next day chilled out in the morning, more washing,,,, Dave did some 'repairs' and alterations to a few things that werent working well.. then headed out to Darwin to see the WW2 museum.. Was sooooo interesting... Didnt realise that Darwin got more hits than Pearl Harbour. great replicas and oringinal artifacts and guns, and machinery, turrets etc...... Jack thought it was fabulous! Spent about an 1 1/2 hours there then headed to the Mindibl Sunset night markets.....
We have never seen so many people here!!! it started at 5ish and was packed,,,,, well by the time we left 2 hours later you couldnt move!!! Unbelievable!!! was gezelug! ( meaning cosy and a buzz ! ) Dave and I had a lovely Thai meal.... Yum! nearly as good as Jeems!! hahahaha - then went onto the beach with another 3000 people ( no exaggeration ) to see the beautiful sunset - boats in the water.... lovely cloud line.... possibly one of many that we will see in the oncoming months.....
Next day left around 930 to head into town - needed to visit d*** Smiths to check something about Jacks ipod - that sorted headed to meet the Duckabout Bus/Boat trip for an hour around Darwin. Was cool - the boys enjoyed it. Was lovely in the harbour.... such nice water....
Then had a picnic in Doctors Gully where the Aquascene fish feeding is held.... Sooooo many people!!! - Big fish - wish they were on our dinner plate! hahahah
Liam liked it with his feet in the water feeding them.
Then headed back to van to start to get things together for our trip into Litchfield tomorrow...
Phew... that was cool! So many things to write.....
Til Litchfield!
