Hi all!

Sorry its been so long since our last update! We've been kinda lazy!!

We had a great time in Perth, the weather wasn't quite what we were used to in Cairns and Uluru, but it held out enough for us to thoroughly explore the city and the surrounding area (we hired a car one day).

We left Perth and headed for Thailand. Our first stop was Phuket, where we had decided would be our beach holiday! When we arrived at the Hotel, we were completely stunned by the fantastic hotel we chose!! (Check out the pictures). The resort was nice too, (not the main resort Patong, but a smaller one called Kata) and had a great beach and very warm sea. The weather was choppy, with monsoon style rain almost every afternoon, however we still managed to get plenty of sun bathing in!!! The people in Thailand are really friendly however you do find that everyone is selling something!!

We left Phuket after 12 days of pure relaxation, and headed for Bankok. We were a little apprehensive about the situation there, but actually we found no trouble what so ever, and what protests there were, were peaceful and well out of our way! The city is bustling and busy, but safe and has great transport. Our hotel was really nice, and conveniently located above a Skytrain station. The shopping in Bangkok is really great, the prices are rediculously low (with bartering of course), and you can find anything you want!!

We are now in Ho Chi Minh City, and after surviving the scariest taxi journey of our lives from the airport (with a driver I'm sure was high as a kite), we are having a great time. The people in Vietnam really are extremely friendly and generous. We are going to do two trips, one to the tunnels used in the war, and another to the Mekong Delta. The prices here are again very cheap, meals are costing one or two pounds each!!
