Well, my first step into Asia and being brave I decided to go to a country almost as English as England.. Singapore!
Very humid, more so than Darwin, and very small in size, you can drive north to south in under an hour.
Also not much to do, people wearn't wrong when they told me you could see everything in three days, still I stayed for six, onwards flights were cheaper that way..
So what did I do.. Not much...
Took a wander round Little India to remind me what I was missing in Ilford...
Watched Pitch Black on telly and reminisced about Coober Pedy...
Ate Fish Porridge for breakfast...
Walked around the harbour front and checked out the Merlion statues...
Trekked around Fort Canning Park to see the old English defences and lighthouse...
Went to the Zoo! Pretty good one too, I like...
Had a shave while lizards fought on the ceiling above me...
Found out Singapore uses the same plugs as England. Which was annoying as I had bought an adaptor for my new camera and phone and sent it home while in Oz...
Got bored one morning so took a bus trip to Malaysia. Stayed about half an hour and left!...
Went on a night safari near the zoo. Forty hectares of parkland filled with elephants, lions etc, seen at night, pretty cool. A bit like Jurassic Park but without the fun dinosaurs...
Discovered Iced Milo drink. Incredible stuff...
And that was it, off to Thailand next!
