Friday - Another early start to catch a plane to the Cook Islands. Back past the international date line, so might be younger again. A quiet night in the hotel as missed the organised pub crawl round town. b*****.
Saturday - Started peeling. A lot. So itchy. Avoided the sun and watched telly. In the evening, sampled the island life night, with as usual, a feast followed by dancing. At least his time there were women involved. Tried the local vegetable called Tauro (not halucanagenic sadly), which tasted a bit like tasteless cardboard. Met a middle aged Kiwi couple from wellington who invited us round on our return to the country. Silly billies.
Sunday - Did nowt as everywhere was shut what with it being a religious island an all...
Monday - Did nowt again as getting comfy waking up late... Though did go to the gym for the fist time in 3 months. John, nows youor chance to prove your manhood, get a flight over and prove yourself!!! Then we watched organised crab racing... Exciting isn't the word...
Tuesday - Up eraly to hire mopeds! Then into town on the bus to take our driving tests at the local police station. The coppers instructions were as follows "Turn left. At the next junction, turn left. At the petrol station, turn left. At the end of the road, turn left. At the stop sigh, turn left. You should then be back here. The speed limits 30kph, in your own time"! Well, noboy crashed, so we all passed, and are now proud owners of Rarotongan driving licences!! So off we went for a drive and a celebratory round of real golf . I'm s*** at that too!
Wednesday - More of nothing, Think Garfield 2, a tale of two kitties was on telly 5 times that day...
Thursday - Had breakfast, and started reading a note passed under our door saying we should reconfirm our flight details. After a quick check of our documents, realised we were flying out in the early hours of Friday, not Saturday, and shoud've checked out ten minutes earlier... So a day room was booked, and we wandered down to the local diving school for a bit of scuba we had booked earlier in the week... Only to find, a) it was too rough to swim, b) Jason has CF, so would probably die, and c) you can't fly within 12 hours of scuba diving. To sum it up, no diving. And so another evening of kicking around in the bar waiting for the taxi to the airport... Think I might start avoiding redeye flights....
