Well here I am in Byron bay, I have spent the last two weeks creating havoc around the East coast of Australia, after the hustle and bustle of Sydney I was off, up to Brisbane then down to Surfers paradise and Byron. Surfers paradise is a strange town, its described as a mini Miami, it consists of a big bunch of skyscrapers collected by the beach, but it was very touristy and to be honest I wasn't a big fan so after a day I headed down to byron bay which turned out to be amazing. I met some other brits and started to explore. The hostel we stayed in was incredible, it was called the art factory and is alive with fun activities and crazy people, you even stay in tee pees.
After three days in Byron I went up to Fraser Island, the largest sand Island in the world, its like a big sand dune covered in jungle with lakes on it that because of the sand are the purest in the world and the sand is so white its amazing, truly breathtaking. We saw dingos and snakes and a Koala that turned out to be a teddy bear tied to a tree so still not seen a real one.
In our tour group there were 24 people from 18 different countries, we felt the need to get everyone to bond was requiring imediate attention so drinking games persude. We went on treks through the jungle and discovered the biggest tree in australia and massive spiders.
Now I have come back down to Byron and set up camp for three weeks, I'm working in a hostel and getting my bored for free in thr process. This is great fun and i will have more Byron bay antics soon I'm sure.
