Chris writes. Hi all. Hope life is good for you all as we feel just so guilty(but not for long)for having so much fun and great times . This was our first day waking up in Kings Canyon Resort,(a really well laid out and tidy motor camp nestled amongst some shady gum trees ). Today we spent the day exploring the rock, it really is quite amazing. There a a few walks so we did some of them but did not go all the way round as it was to hot. You cannot see from the big pictures but there are are a couple of little gorges you can walk into with water holes at the bottom of them. The walk around the bottom is just over 10kms so we just drove around the road and saw it from all angles. Tomorrow we are leaving for our next adventure to King'...

This was followed further down the road closer to the rock by a fabulous BBQ with all the trimmings steak,garlic prawns,kangaroo,lamb,and chicken and salads followed by dessert and plenty of wine. Then all the lights were turned off and we treated to a commentary about the night sky with the aid of laser pointers. Everyone enjoyed the night and it was a great experience to do.

In the evening we went on a coach tour to watch the sunset with drinks and nibbles. It's amazing how the colours change as the sun goes down. We were with a great crew of people and had a lot of fun.
