Greetings from the border of South Australia and the Northern Territories where camped last night. Had a great night around a fire we were freedom camping and there were 10 of us 2 from France 2 from Maritius 1 Scot 2 Aussies and 3 Kiwis!!!! However we did have our 1st experience with the flies and it was quite a shock. The cover photo shows Chris filtering a beer through his fly screen. They do disappear at dark which we didn't know so that's good. We were sleeping beside the highway and had a great sleep it's amazing how you get used to things.
On the way out of Coober Pedy yesterday morning at 10 o'clock they had a big highway police roadside breath testing station. Of course when they asked for Chris's license he pulled out both of them and they cop says ahh Kiwi my uncle lives there everyone knows someone over there.
Well off to Uluru today so looking forward to that. There is car racing at Alice Springs this weekend it is the Finke Desert Race one off the most difficult off road courses in the most remote place in the world. We are glad it did not coincide with going there as it is booked out.
The speed limit up here is 130kms but we will not be doing that!!!!
Next blog ULURU!!!!
