Blog 3 - Crashing back down to earth... then holiday! So the final induction week started. We were split into groups and were each given 300,000 dong to buy items for breakfast where the new teachers meet the existing members of staff. The newbies pulled it off with an array of pastries, bacon, cakes, juices and cheeses. We met all the current staff and got to know them – how long they’d been here, where they’d been on the international school circuit etc....

Week 1: Freshers Week!! First of all, apologies to those who have been patiently waiting for the first instalment of this blog, from the moment I arrived it has been a bit of a rollercoaster!! I will try to retrace my steps and thoughts from the last 8 days... The journey here was long but relatively painless... Bristol to Heathrow (2hrs), Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur (12 hrs), Kuala Lumpur to Ho Chi Minh City (2hrs) and finally from the airport to my apartment (...

In 4 weeks I'll be flying out from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur and then on to Ho Chi Minh from there. Starting to panic a little... lots to sort out and not enough time to do it all!! Anybody want a wardrobe?!
