Ze Count goes East
Samarkand to Tashkent
Fast dual carriageway ride to Tashkent, little cooler highest was in the high 30s. Usual hazards, donkeys etc wandering down the road and uzbeck drivers taking your picture while driving withing 6 inches of the bike. The police have become a big pain they stop you at every opportunity usually just to say hello and shake your hand but after the first few it becomes boring. It seems they also have a sting in their tail, four of the lads were done for serious fines $300 for speeding on the approach to one of the checkpoints. We were lucky as we were looking for fuel at the time so travelling slower. Frankly I'll be glad to leave this country it's overly officious with a nasty whiff of corruption underneath.
