Ace Cafe to Gauchin Verloingt
Well here we go at last the first day of four months of travel. Dave.P came down to see us off from the ACE Cafe destination Gauchin Verloingt in France; his presence brought back memories of the departure from Anchorage for the 2005 TransAM. Well drama on the first day one of the guys (Chris) was knocked off on the ride out of London some car driver accused him of damaging his paintwork, apparently it didn't come to blows but it suggests an interesting few months. Luckily neither Chris nor the bike were damaged so no lasting effects. After an uneventful trip across the channel we arrive at Gauchin to our first "Truck meal" cooked by the team and a night roughing it in a large barn. It was bloody freezing looks like I'm not going to be using that RAB 750 for any trips into the Arctic.
