OK, so last time I wrote I left you with me going to Sihanoukville (the beach area of Cambodia) on the bus in the pouring rain. I got there and found an OK guest house, just across the road from the beach, once again a couple of dollars a night. The rain had stopped now and the sun had come out, so I plonked, bikini, sun lotion, ipod, book and me on a sun lounger a stones throw away from the sea, ordered a coke and relaxed, this was the life...............for all of 20 minutes then the rain started again, and the thunder and the lightening. Off I scurried back to my hotel, where I just spent the day hanging out in the bar reading and eating. The next day I attempted the beach again, this time the rain stayed off for an hour, during this time I acquired 10 friendship bracelets, some fruit and a manicure and pedicure while lying in the sun, however not for long as then the rain and thunder came again.
I then decided that i wasn't having much luck at the beach and as there was little else to do there I thought I should move on with my trip. Off I then wandered into town to book my coach to Saigon. Once again only costing a few dollars. I got drenched going back to my hotel, seriously I was just dripping wet, I have never seen rain like it. This was defiantly monsoon season. Once back at my hotel I did more reading and relaxation. The following day I had to be at the coach station at 8am to get my coach to Saigon, that was going to take 11 hours. I managed at the coach station to get $100 dollars pick pocketed off me. So I got on the coach pretty pissed off, tired and a bit fed up of all this travelling lark and having to think about what to do next, find accommodation etc and being on my own, those things are always a bit harder. However once on my VERY long journey I did start to feel a bit better. I got chatting to a guy sitting next to me from LA who was being transferred from Cambodia to the big hospital in Saigon with suspected malaria, he was really ill and was getting progressively worse as the journey went on. This kinda put things into perspective that I was fine. The bus was pretty good, we got a little breakfast roll and bottle of water on it and then later in he day a little packed lunch.
After a long and tiring journey I arrived in Saigon at just after 7pm......................
