So I'm in my first hostel. Leaving tomarrow morning for bern, in order to get to lauterbrunnen, which I'm staying in for 3..4 nights ? Anyway. This is the part where I go into more detail about my trip so far. And I'm probably going to et carpel tunnel or something because I'm doing this on my iPhone. As they might sarcastically say in deutschland, Prost.
My flight was long. Long as in a whole day long, over a day long, about 25 hours long. I awkwardly was introduced and said goodbye to shanghai in under 2 hours, and I think it was sunset when we were flying in, cause it was pink outside. Literally, I am not kidding you. Pink. Everywhere.
Okay maybe pinky-purple, but as cute as it was(nawt), it was gross knowing that's how polluted it was. Not so attracted to shanghai after that.
Then in Beijing I had a major FREAKOUT cause I read the clock wrong and I thought I was going to miss my flight and I nearly started crying on a shuttle bus filled with pretty Asian air hostesses dressed in floral. Must have been Bali airlines or something. But I tried to ask the security guard that was sitting next to me, and he made me realize that it was An hour and ten minutes before my flight departed, not ten minutes. I actually put my hand over my heart and said Ohmygod about 3 times.
Landing in Munich was spectacular. Before the plane even touched down I fell in love. The cute little bunches of houses surrounded by multi-colored fields and gorgeous Forrest. So so beatiful. And it was sunrise, which I think added to the romantic atmosphere.
I got into München around 6am and my second cousin or whatever, my uncle, let's just say that, picked me up.
Helmuts house was like a Bavarian fairy-tale. Everything was also modern and automatic. There was a pool. A beautiful back yard and garden. Three story's high. And the my most favorite kitchen ever.
I had breakfast, boiled eggs on toast(which was awesome becaause they had an automatic egg boiler! It was so cool! This little device that held 7 eggs and you put a certain amount of water depending how you wanted your egg. Or eggs) and then I went promptly to sleep.
From about 9am to 3.30pm
And then from 7pm to 7am.
And then it was Freitag and I went to this lovely little lake in starnburg.
Over the weekend I went to Tübingen, a sweet university town and I met unknown family.
Gondola down the river, traditional German dinner, it was so bloody hot. Humid hot, disgustingly.
I met some cousins of mine that were my age and we all went out Saturday night and I had absinthe. Crazy Jess.
I also got locked out of my hotel at 12 pm in the pouring rain and was drunk and got quite upset. May have shouted into the night. But this is behind me now.
The autobahn was fun, Helmut likes to drive at around 200, not sure if it's kilometers or miles per hour? Went up to 250 as I innerly relished in the concept that my uncle was beeping at a bright yellow Lamborghini to get out of his way.
Now, as I finish this post, I'm on my way to Zurich, to get another train to Berne, to then Busabout to Lauterbrunnen. the scenery is...serene. Sigur Rós adds to it as well.
But btw, the photo, it's from Bern. Pretty, huh?
