Hey guys!

We arrive in Tokyo late on sunday morning so just went to bed that day, hostel was TINY! We theb went out on monday to have a little look around tokyo, but didnt really see too much fun stuff as turned out we hadnt gone to the best places, we went to to \kyo station which is in the middle of building and a park which was nice but not so brill!

But we are now in Kyoto, which is the old capital of japan, staying in a really nice hostel & today we have been out cycling around with bikes we hired from hostel. Cycled to a really cool temple and then this shrine which was in the film `memoirs of a geisha`, walked around there for a fair bit then cycled to Gion district in Kyoto, this is wher Geishas can be found, after about 5:30 they all started coming out of old traditional houses down the back streets of Gion. the streets were like how japan used to be agggges ago, but it was literally a few steps from the bright lights of the main roads where all the restarants and shops are. but you would have thought it as it was so different, all wooden little buildings with lanterns outside and geishas! we managed to spot a good few and took pictures of two posing ones! very cool!

tomorrow i think we are planning to go to a place called monkey montain, then on friday we are going to the city of Osaka then we are getting the train back to Tokyo where we will be for 4 nights, so im sure we will have lots of cool pics to upload, havnet really seen much of it yet, so looking forward to that. then on wednesday we are heading to china!

i havent been able to upload pictures yet as this hostels computer doesnt have a certain downloaded thig that we need, we can upload but it takes ages so il probably put photos up when im in tokyo! so bye till then xx
