Photo again cruising up the Grand Canal past the San Giorgio Maggiore Church on a small island in the bay. The buildings cover the island as they seem to all over Venice. The tide is in lapping at the buildings base, sometimes when water surges are high the forecourts and lower sections of many buildings are flooded.
